I build, back and scale b2b events and media businesses for senior people.

Bootstrapped LSX (an events business facilitating deal making and capital raising for life science leaders, investors and pharma) and sold it to Informa in an 8-figure deal in 2023.

Now I invest in and advise B2B media and events founders and leaders, and I'm working out where to build the next one.

### Investing

Angel in B2B media and events.

### Advising

A small number of founders and leaders on events strategy and scaling. Currently advising Reading Rhythms in New York, and a few UK businesses on their shift to year round community

### Convening

Founded the Media Entrepreneur Meetup. 700+ founders and CEOs of independent media and events businesses, now run by Collingwood. Also convene the male advocates group for the Ottolines - a membership of the most senior female leaders in b2b media and events.

# Track record

- 2014-2023 - LSX. Co-founded with Neil Darkes, bootstrapped, sold to Informa in an 8-figure deal
- 2018 and 2021 - Launched Longevity Leaders and Workforce Wellbeing LIVE inside LSX
- 2017 - Founded the Media Entrepreneur Meetup
- 2008-2014 - GM at Terrapinn. Launched and scaled 12+ new events in energy and transport
- 2025 - Co-founded AiBL (AI for Business Leaders). Stepped back in 2026, still a shareholder
- 2023- Advisor to multiple b2b media and events founders and leaders

## What I believe

Trust is the moat. The more AI there is, the more people want a room - and data - they can trust.

AI’s job is to remove the sludge that blocks genuine human connection. The matching, the prep, the follow-up. That leaves people free for the bit that matters - the conversation.

Get that right and the room doesn’t have to stay small. It can reach thousands and still feel like eight people round a table.

That’s what I want to build next.
